How Brand Fundamentals was created

Growing up my father always had great business ideas to create positive change. I best remember that he had ideas how to make boat shapes more efficient so that they would be able to use less energy to move forward, and years later he would see those ideas confirmed in the marketplace. But he never took the leap to actually commit to one idea and make it real. He was too affraid of the risk to not be able to make a real impact and doubted his own ability to pull it off. I think to some degree it made him unhappy that he felt he could not follow through on his visions. I always wondered what impact he might have had if he would have commited to one of his big ideas and made it real, and what might have helped him to mitigate the risk he perceived and create traction from the get-go. So when I see entrepreneurs take the leap and take a chance on their vision I want them to succeed — badly! I want them to make the positive change they envision and have the greatest possible impact. And if I can help them get closer to making the world a better place then I want to do anything I can to do so. That's why I created this program that functions as a roadmap to establish the foundation to make a bigger impact in line with your vision and your market opportunity

After co-founding brands & businesses and helping clients to build and grow their brands and raise VC funding, I saw some clear patterns that applied to growing businesses. I also realized that in many small businesses the bulk of their resources, time, energy, and money, were not geared towards the things that could help them really make progress and move the needle. Instead founders are often working at capacity without seeing the impact they strive for. Worse, they often battle burnout while at the same time finding themselves in a business that has completely moved away from their original vision that made them start the business in the first place.

The ideas, techniques, content, and structure of Brand Fundamentals are based on real life results of my clients, myself, all program participants, as well as the experience and teachings of leading industry experts, including Jason Fried, David Heinemeier-Hansson, Sam Altman, Matt Watkinson, Jasmine Bina, Vinodth Khosla, various Y-combinator alumi, Seth Godin, Scott Belsky, Steve Krug, Susan M. Weinschenk Ph.D., Adrienne Dorison ... to name but a few.

So far Brand Fundamentals has helped graduates to significantly improve their brand, business, and as a side result even their personal lifes. Hey, their words, not mine. While the program is rock solid as graduate's results show, I constantly improve, streamline, and grow it based on feedback, measured impact, and market changes. That means while the program is already great, it's getting even better and bigger over time. And to be fair, I pass mayor new developments on to previous graduates — meaning if you took Brand Fundamentals in the past you will still benefit from future improvements.

Brand Fundamentals will never be cheaper than now. With the program getting better and better with every round, the price point will always reflect the value you are gettting from it.
